Bail bonds requirements in the Connecticut area ensure that professional bail bonds companies cannot charge more or less than a certain amount in fees based on the amount of a bond. This means that whatever professional you work with, the pricing will be the same across the state, so you can choose the company you want to work with based on things like the quality of their service.
At Mike’s Bail Bonds, we understand that it can be difficult to determine how much you will need to pay in bail fees, so we’ve provided this handy calculator to help you. If you’d like to understand how this calculator works and want to do the math yourself, simply take 10% of the first $5,000, and add 7 percent on every dollar afterward up to $10,000. For example, the fee for a $5,000 bond would be $500. The fee for a $8,000 bond would be $500 for the first $5,000, plus 7% of the remaining $3,000, or $210, for a total of $710.
Mike’s Bail Bonds is able to accept a variety of forms of payment, including Paypal, Visa, Amex, MasterCard, and Discover cards, or money via bank transfer. If none of these methods are able to work for you, don’t worry- our team may still be able to accept payment through certain digital money transferring apps (such as Cash App, Venmo or Zelle) and may also be able to accept a personal check. Be sure to
contact our staff to find the payment option that will work for you.
